In February 2026, our hospice volunteer embarked on another inspiring journey with a goal of walking 830 kilometers (520 miles) on the famous Camino de Santiago via the Camino del Norte, to raise funds and awareness for Lake Superior Life Care & Hospice. This incredible trek is not just a personal challenge but a tribute to the compassionate care and support our hospice provides to individuals and families during life’s most challenging moments. The Camino de Santiago is a historic collection of pilgrimage routes leading to the shrine of Saint James in Santiago de Compostela, Spain.
As Europe's oldest, most traveled, and most famous pilgrimage path, it attracts people from all over the world who walk for spiritual, cultural, and personal reasons.
The journey offers reflection, challenge, and transformation.
The Camino is celebrated for its stunning landscapes, deep history, and the strong sense of community it creates among those who walk its path.
By walking the Camino, our volunteer honors the memory of loved ones and the caregivers who make a profound difference every day at Lake Superior Hospice. Your support will help ensure that our hospice continues to offer critical services like pain management, emotional support, and end-of-life care to those in need.
Join us in this meaningful journey by donating to our cause. Every contribution, big or small, makes a lasting impact on the lives of patients and their families. Together, we can walk this path of compassion and make a real difference.
Our volunteer is walking the 520 miles of the Camino de Santiago! We invite you to make a donation representing each mile walked. Your donation will directly benefit patients and families through our patient care fund and help us continue providing compassionate care to those in need.
